The second time I met him, I introduced him to a song with my name in the title. He joked about not having any song title with his name in it. It was a random conversation, but it somehow stuck in my head for a long time.

New York City serves as both a shelter and a potential trap for those who hold onto dreams. Nevertheless, we arrive here to seize opportunities. As outsiders, our origin wasn't within this city's bounds, and our final stop might be another distant urban expanse. However, the interlude in between, we've chosen to intertwine with this city closely. Perhaps that's why New York City forever feels like a realm in limbo—between what was and what will be, straddling the present and aspirations, our roots and uncharted territory, restrictions and liberty.

We, too, are individuals caught in between, striving tirelessly to unshackle ourselves and pursue the life we merit. It's an arduous journey, yet not an unfavorable one. Ultimately, life itself resides in this "in between" state.
